Purpose of Notorization
The purpose of notarization is to prevent fraud and forgery. A notary acts as an
official and unbiased witness to the identity of persons who comes before the notary
for a specific purpose.
Notaries will not provide legal advice or counseling regarding
your documents.
A Notary Public is an official of integrity appointed by state government — typically by the secretary of state — to serve the public as an impartial witness in performing a variety of official fraud-deterrent acts related to the signing of important documents. These official acts are called notarizations, or notarial acts. Notaries are publicly commissioned as "ministerial" officials, meaning that they are expected to follow written rules without the exercise of significant personal discretion, as would otherwise be the case with a "judicial" official.
Must Follow Rules
Please review the following information in order to use my notary service:
- Please DO NOT sign your documents before I am present. I am required to see you sign your documents. I will only attest to
documents signed in my presence. - Each person signing the document must be present for me to notarize each individuals signature. I, the notary public, will never notarize any signature without the maker of the signature first appearing personally before me.
- The person who will sign the document must be sure that the document is completely filled out, leaving no blanks other than where the patron will sign the document, before appearing before the notary. I will not notarize any document with blank spaces. Besides signatures. Everything else has to be filled in, and cannot be filled in after being signed.
- This policy requires that the notary and the patron seeking notarization be able to communicate directly with each other. I am not permitted to make use of a translator to communicate with a notary service customer. I only speak, read, and understand English.
- A current government issued ID with your signature is required so that we can verify your identity. It cannot be expired, even if all the information is still the same.
Failure to follow these rules will result in an additional time-wasting fee of $25.
Pricing
Base Price is $40 per hour, with a 1-hour minimum. This will include my travel time.
$20 per additional 30-minute, by 30 min intervals.
If you need multiple documents notarized, with several people to verify, the price will go up to $50 per hour, /$25 per half hour.
There is an additional fee if you need me to print the documents and bring them with me. It will be $1.00 per letter sized page. Legal sized is $2.00 per page. I cannot print larger than Legal.
Payment is due at the time services are rendered.
